The Art of Mark A. Salazar

    Born in Houston, TX. I was first introduced to fantasy art, through my brother, when he started bringing used comic books home by the caseload.  During my travels through the comic book world I came across "Conan".  I was immediately hooked on the covers.  Later in college I was introduced to other forms of fantasy fiction and the artwork gracing the covers of D&D manuals.

    During my time in college I became intensely interested in computers.  A friend of mine had a modern day PC and I was completely hooked on the system and the potential graphics capabilities.  Many years later I built my own PC and acquired a number of tools for producing digital graphics.

    Well, not so long ago I had a stint with unemployment and had a lot of time to experiment with the digital medium.  After lots of practice I found I was getting a great deal better and started to have ideas for images.

    Today, after producing quite a few images, my wife, Veronique, began to push me towards a dream of mine, which is, of course, to sell my art.  With her encouragement, and a lot of work, I am now able to bring my work to your homes.  I hope you enjoy the work as much as I have enjoyed the journey.
